Chapter 6 “Designing with Geosynthetics” discuss about the Geosynthetic

Clay Linear. Geosynthetics Clay Linear as geotextile made for a various
environmental containment applications is a need for building structures nowadays.
Factory fabricated products as barriers in order to migrate liquids have been
available in any building construction for how many years.

Geosynthetics Clay Linear is containment as a hydraulic barrier to water,

other liquids and sometimes gases. Hydraulic barrier consisting of a layer of
bentonite or other very low permeability material supported by geotextiles and a
geomembranes, mechanically held together by needling, stitching or chemical
adhesives.

There are many problems that engineers may face these days such us failure
in any constructions before their serviceability. Having proper knowledge on how
geosynthetics materials such as Geosynthetics Clay Linear could help engineers to
prevent those failures and may provide good quality structure.
