Teachers are need to be aware of human behavioural so that they can be and effective
teacher. This is because, it is important for the teacher to know their students characteristics
so that he/she can cater any problems occurs in the classroom and are able to create a
conducive classroom. Teachers are also need to be occupied with the updated pedagogical
skills so that the teaching and learning process in the classroom can encourage the
engagement of 21st century learning. All of these teachers’ requirements can be possess by
the help of the leader in the organization. Therefore, there are roles of leader that can help the
teachers to be an effective teacher in the school.
The development of the country has also affected the teacher profession. New
strategies and skills are needed so that the education in the country are on par with other
developing country. To help in the changes, educational institutions need to be organized
properly by a high quality leadership. Leadership is the action of leading a group of people or
an organization to achieve their goals. In school, the leaders are the headmaster, head of
department, senior assistant, and other member of organization that involve in managing the
school.
Headmaster is the main leader in school. He/she is responsible for establishing a high
quality education for the students in the school. Therefore, the headmaster should develop
and reinforce the professionalism in the school by practicing the Behavioural Management
Theory in school. This theory focuses on the understanding of the leader towards the member
of the organization and treat them well to achieve the goals. A good management in the school
will increase the productivity of the organizations, as they are feel appreciated and as a part
of a special group. This shows that the headmaster has established a good rapport among
the teachers and the community in the school.
