Core Values Reflection

Identify the 5 core values you chose, and then write a complete sentence explaining why you
chose that value.

5. Intelligence

Now in a thorough paragraph reflect on this entire process. Make sure you answer all
of the questions.

Was it hard to choose your top five values? Why? Were there any surprises? What
emotions came up for you during the process of elimination? Do you think the values
you chose are evident in the way you live your life? How? Why do you think reflecting
on your personal values is a valuable exercise? In other words, why did we do this
exercise, and how can this information be advantageous for you?

I have always known my core values, they have been something that I’ve carried with
me for most of my life. I was not truly surprised by any of my values. I think that even
when I am not enacting my values at times it is something I always try to embody, and I
think that it is very helpful in becoming a better person.
