I have known Courtney for approximately 1 year. During this time, I have watched and observed Courtney's work ethic, inspiring attitude, and positive interaction with middle school students. Courtney is a dedicated, fun loving, and dependable young adult. She works with 6 - 8* graders in our afterschool program at Alliance Middle School. Her tutoring position includes a wide range of responsibilities which includes helping with homework, organizing and teaching enrichment classes, management of discipline, and being an outstanding role model. She excels in all of these areas. Because of her engaging personality, she was always able to keep students’ attention and involve them in learning. Students follow her direction and she is very good at talking students through problems and solutions. Courtney takes initiative when she sees something that needs done and always steps in where needed which is much appreciated. She was a welcome addition and huge asset to our program. While at the University of Mount Union, Courtney is very involved in many activities. She takes her education seriously and strives to get the most from her experiences by not only studying but taking part in numerous activities. She reaches out and has touched many lives. I would highly recommend Courtney for any teaching position. It doesn't matter the subject, or activity, she has shown she can excel in just about any area.
