? The Union Cabinet has today approved the signing of Memorandum of
? Centre has raised the fair and remunerative price (FRP) for sugar cane for the
next season to ?275 a quintal at a 10% recovery rate.
? This is the minimum price that mills must pay farmers.
? The decision was approved by the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs at its
meeting chaired by Prime Minister.
? Mill owners say the current FRP is �unaffordable�.
