 Then he thought that mars should also have a life like that of the earth.
 He wants to build plants and trees and then move people from earth to mars.
 He went to Russia…. To get a rocket but the rocket was very expensive that is of 8 million dollar
 He tried to negotiate but got rejected
 Started study on his own and founded SpaceX on his own capabilities….
 He did space travel commercially viable..
 Then he decided to build reusable rockets.
 From this thing, we can learn that one man can learn a lot from books…internet and
encyclopedia..on his own
 Nobody believed in SpaceX vision of making reusable rockets.
 The fact was that to make a rocket which can enter the orbit of Mars at the lowcost and also
get that rocket back safely
 The engine caught fire in the first launch
 The second and third rocket went off route
 So he was nearly bankrupt..he put all the money that he earned from PayPal and zip2…all the
money he got from NASA contract.
 Then no one wants to invest in fourth
 Then suddenly after a few days, he made an announcement that four launches will hold in a few
months only.
 So for the fourth rocket, he risked everything ..he sold his own house and sifted to rent a home
but this time 4th rocket got successful…
 He didn’t get only the success for the fourth rocket but he also got a contract 1.5 billion dollars.
 He had a crazy paranoid vision for his product and crafts
 Then he also invested in Tesla Motors.
 He got involved very easily and within few months tesla motor got his new CEO Elon Musk
 Then he visioned about aking an electric car at Tesla.
 The first car made was very expensive and no one could afford it
 In second attempt cost went a bit low but in the third attempt, the actual reasonable cost was
there for the customers
 So FAILURE IS AN OPTION. He believes that a failure is an option where everyone in this world
thinks failure is not an option.
 He is the guy who wants to live for the earth.
 So if someone says that mr.elon this is not possible then that guy has its last day in the
company.
 Tesla motor ….which works on sustainable energy consumption so that we don’t have to use
petrol or diesel anymore… And earth become pollution free
 The solar city which works on sustainable energy creation.

 You always have to focus on the right target on whatever area you get into
 Give your best the best…there is always a chance of failure.
 Go into the scenario which you really like.
 Which is very very important
 If you don’t like it then life is too short
 Interview someone.
 If u like what you do..you will think about it even when you are not working
 And if you don’t like it..then you can’t really make the right target
 Great people don't try to force a square peg into a round hole
 he knows his team core inner strength.
 For example, if you want to make fish climb a tree and monkey alo…fish will never be able to
climb it
 He believes that if he wants to do something extraordinary then hire the right person in the first
move only
 Because if u hire a mediocre man…and he will fail to find the solution …he will say that he didn’t
