Anorexia And Diet Pill (Concurrent Disorder)

First of all, diet pills are pills that suppress the user's diet or it reduces the body's

way of fully absorbing the nutrient it needs. These are often used for sugar teeth,

weight loss, boost of metabolism, increasing energy, etc. However sometimes the

user tends to have eating disorders such as anorexia nervosa, anorexia is an

eating disorder that causes the user to feel an urge to be thinner, they see

themselves overweight when they are in fact underweight, they restrict their diets

by eating less or sometimes not eating at all. Anorexic people usually disagree

with being anorexic or underweight since to them they are just trying to be

skinnier in an unhealthy manner, the person suffering could be underweight by a

lot but still think they are overweight or obese causing them to starve themselves

or limit the amount of nutrient take in. Anorexic people may use diet pills so then

their appetite is suppressed, so they don’t feel an urge to eat or the body reduces

the way of fully absorbing all the nutrients needed. The scary truth is that over

the counter diet pills are not regulated by the FDA( Food and Drug

Administration) so they can be very dangerous since they have not been double

checked to assure safety. This is how anorexia nervosa and diet pills create a

concurrent disorder.
