TYPE OF INCIDENT: Armed Robbery Series

LOCATION OF OCCURRENCE: City of Irvine (IPD #19-67)

REPORTING PARTY: Investigator J. Acuna #1461

In the past month, there have been several armed robberies of hotels and 7 Eleven locations in South Orange
County. One or two suspects were seen using either a gun and/or knife to demand cash from clerks. The
clerks were given a backpack (pictured below) or plastic bag to place money inside. In one case the suspect
spoke Spanish to a clerk and no vehicles seen.

Suspect 1: Male, 5’5”-5’7”, 130-160 lbs., wearing a dark heavy jacket, hooded sweatshirt, dark pants, white
shoes, neon ski goggles, black/brown backpack, tan gardening type gloves and sometimes a red beanie.

Suspect 2: Male, 5’9”, 150 lbs., wearing a black ski mask, black windbreaker, dark pants, and black/white
shoes.

Weapon: Black handgun, large 10”-12” long kitchen knife
