 Statement of the Problem

This study aims to propose an Urban Design for Barangay Luna Surigao City.

1) What is the profile of the participants in terms of:

1.1 Age

1.2 Sex

1.3 Number of years in service

2) What is the assessment of the City Planning Engineers on the proposed Barangay Luna

Urban Design Plan?

3) Is there significant difference between the assessments of the City Planning Engineers

when they grouped according to their profile?

4) Based from the result of the assessment, what recommendations maybe offered?
 Hypothesis

At 0.05 level of significance, it is hypothesized that there is significant difference

between the assessments of the City Engineers when they grouped according to their

profile.

Scope and Limitations

This study focuses on the Assessment on the Proposed Barangay Luna, Surigao

City Urban Design Plan. The participants of the study are the City Planning Engineers of

Surigao City for they will assess the proposed Urban Design Plan for Barangay Luna.

This study will be conducted this second semester 2017-2018 at Surigao City.
 Significance of the Study

The findings of this study will contribute to the existing body of knowledge in the field of
Civil Engineering. Specifically, the study will bring benefits to the following:

Engineering Students. The results of the study will give them an understanding and insights
about how Zoning Ordinance can affect in the making of an Urban Plan.

Engineers. The study will help give knowledge to engineers and will help in giving realizations
for those engineers who don't consider how Zoning Ordinance can have an impact in making an
Urban Plan.

The community. The study will help in the implementation of the daily living of the people in
the community as this study will help in making a better place for the community.

City Planning and Development Office The study will be a basis and help give ideas for the
office in their projects that are related in Urban Planning.

Future Researchers. The outcome of the study will give knowledge and ideas for the
researchers who research on topics that are related to zoning policies and urban planning.
 CHAPTER 3

Methodology

This chapter covers the design, participants, instrument, data gathering procedures, and

data analysis.

Research Design

The study employed the descriptive survey design. The researcher will make an Urban

Design that will be assessed by the City Planning Engineers of Surigao City.

Participants

The participants of the study are City Planning Engineers and Architects of Surigao city.
