To Whom It May Concern:
ttzel Salazar completed several activities in my classtoom.Itzel was able to experience working
with students learning a second language, students learning how to read and write in their
native language, non-verbal students, and students with special needs. The total number of
hhours that Itel completed were 95 hours.
Ina one-on one setting, tzl, played games to buld connections with three students who were
non-verbal ina Dual Spanish environment. She clarified misconceptions in a writing activity.
Miss itzel helped students use resources such as a bilingual dictionary and an on-line translator
‘when learners had a difficult time advancing in thelr task, In addition, she supported
‘monolingual, bilingual, and non-verbal students in writing, reading, math, and science,
Ina small group setting, ttzel worked with students in the common area while other students
were testing inthe classroom. She worked with different developmental stages of writing and
rade several accommodations a the activity progressed. Supporting students completing exit
tickets, assessments, end of the unit tests, and science posters were among other tasks she
engaged in
Itzel participated in other environments, She helped my teaching partner with accommodating
some extra time in a math assessment and motivating learners to finish. ttzel observed a 4th
{grade dual classroom for an hour where she was abe to observe multiple levels of language
development. Mis Itzel observed two speech classes where she received many ideas of how to
‘work on communication skis. Furthermore, she had the experience of engaging with other
certified teachers in the classroom such asthe ESL Coordinator, the CogAt Coordinator, and
Guest Teachers from the district
During planning time, itzl worked on creating posters, cutting visuals, organizing skills, copying.

Miss itel was @ postive role model forthe students, staff, and parents. Students respect and
enjoy her presence in the classroom.
