Coca Cola was invented by John Pemberton, a druggist living in Atlanta.

The
original drink was a syrup, and Pemberton sold it as a medicine. It was really a
syrup, being made from coca leaves. Pemberton sold his secret formula to Asa
Candler, He decided to sell it as a new drink, adding soda. At first he sold it in
his drugstores, then he started to selling the syrup to others drugstores. After
that, he sold them a license to some businessmen, and they began to sell the
drink. That was the story of the origin of Coca Cola.
