Death is Beautiful “Hain na”

by Carlo Calamba by Carlo Calamba

The day has finally ended, soon the dark will Hain na ang imung mga saad
come
Ang imung mga putling panumpa
I’m not afraid, darkness was friend

And when all seems black and dark Gipalid na kauban sa mga dahong laya

I see ways to escape from the jail that holds Gianod na sa dagan ning ahung mga luha
me
Gihandum ko kanunay ang imung gugma
I see ways to break from the chains that binds
me Naghuwat sa imung pag-abot ug pagbalik

I see hope wrapped in darkness Nisawup na lang ang adlaw, Ang buwan
mitunga na

Ang kaanyag sa kabulakan nangamatay na

I know thousand ways of dying

But I chose to die from the poison of hope Ang mga sonata nga giawit sa kalanggaman
natapos na
I was long dead, gone and forgotten
Sama sa gugma mong nahanaw na
I dug my own grave and bury myself

People came to bid farewell

With stones in their hands instead of flowers

Living is hard, Dying is easy

Life is suffering, Death is remedy

Living means dying, Dying means living

Death is the birth of new life, new beginning

Death is beautiful if you let it be

Death is hope, Death is life

Please tell her

Carlo C. Calamba

You see her everyday Not make fun of her, not laugh at her

Wearing a smile on her red curvy lips She tries to be accepted, to be embraced

Her eyes painted with make-up The next time you see her

Reflecting colors of joy and happiness Please, tell her she is beautiful

Her cheeks flushed with fake blush The way she was and what she is

Blooming colors of sun-kissed red

Her eyebrows perfectly trimmed and drawn

on flick

Her hair neatly combed,

Shining lustrous from the hair oil she put

I see her everyday

With a broken smile on her pale lips

Her eyes pure and plain

Reflecting shadows of blue and sadness

Her cheeks marked with scars

Full of spots and freckles

Her eyebrows thin, dull and scarce

Her hair is a mess

All frizzed and damage

You see her beauty

I see her struggles

Of trying to look pretty

So that people will not mock her
