MEASUREMENT:

Is the process of scoring numerical that have purposes to determine students' scale. For
example, a teacher that measure student performance using test as an instrument of
measurement.
TEST:
A test or quiz is used to examine someone's knowledge or performance to determine what
he or she knows or has learned. In additional, it refers to instruments of measurement. For
example, it could consist of several short reading passages, each followed by a limited
number of comprehension questions.
ASSESSMENT:
Is the process of documenting knowledge, skills, attitudes and beliefs, usually in
measurable terms. Assessment can be also defined as the process of gathering the data and
fashioning them into interpretable form for decision-making. It involves collecting data with
a view of making valve judgment about the quality of a person, object, group or event.
Assessment in science education can be defined as the use of various measurement
techniques to determine the extent to which learners’ programme to which they have been
exposed. It is the systematic collection and analysis of information to improve student
learning and program viability. Educational assessment provides the necessary feedback that
is required in order to maximize the outcome of educational effort. The goal of assessment is
to make improvements, as opposed to simply being judged. For example, you might ―map‖
certain questions on a test to specific learning objectives. After administering a test, you
would examine the students‘ performance on the test questions to determine how well the
students‘ are grasping the intended learning outcomes. If you determine the performance is
satisfactory, then you have evidence that the learning objective is being met. If you determine
the students‘ performance is below your expectations, you should use the feedback to
reevaluate the way the material is presented or review the concepts with students. It is
important to remember that the purpose of the assessment is to create a better teaching and
learning experience.
EVALUATION:
Is the process of observing and measuring a thing for the purpose of judging it and of
determining its “value,” either by comparison to similar things, or to a standard. Evaluation
of teaching means passing judgment on it as part of an administrative process. For example,
at the end of the lesson, the teacher will give an evaluation to students to make sure everyone
gets the understanding about the course.
