BECOMING A GREEN SCHOOL

THOUGH SCHOOL TIME IS OVER, MANY STUDENTS OFTEN


STAY AROUND THEIR CLASSROOM. THEY TALK AND JOKE
AROUND WITH EACH OTHER UNDER THE TREES.

HAVING RULES IS ONE OF THE EFFORTS TO ESTABLISH THE


ACT OF ENVIRONMENTAL CONSERVATION.

HERE, ALL STUDENTS AND TEACHERS ARE REQUIRED TO HAVE


BASIC COMPETENCE ABOUT ENVIRONMENTAL
CONSERVATION.
EACH CLASS HAS THEIR OWN GREEN MAP.

THIS GREEN MAP MAKES LEARNING PATTERNS MORE FUN


AND EASIER FOR STUDENTS TO UNDERSTAND.

TAKE MATH FOR EXAMPLE. IF WE TRY TO CONNECT IT WITH


OUR SURROUNDING ENVIRONMENT, IT MAY SEEM
DIFFICULT. BUT IN CERTAIN TOPIC, STUDENTS CAN BE
INVITED OUT OF THE CLASSROOM. TEACHER CAN ASK THEM
TO MEASURE TREES’ HEIGHT AROUND THEM. IT CAN BE
DONE WITH PYTHAGORAS FORMULA.
SO LEARNING CAN ALWAYS BE CONNECTED TO
SURROUNDING ENVIRONMENT.
