Currently, he is the choir master at St. Philomena's Church in Mysore, where he conducts a 50-member choir with acoustic instruments. He has composed and arranged numerous liturgical works and is working to record his compositions.

Felix M Joseph is a Retired Band master & Conductor
of the famed Karnataka Govt. ’English’ band also known at the palace bands in Mysore. Born to family of Western Classical Musicians in Mysore, He was tutored by his brother Mr. J. Francis Xavier and the Sisters of the Good Shepherd Convent. A proficient cellist and pianist, Felix Joseph is versatile in most instruments of the orchestra.
He has been involved with music within and out of the
Palace bands throughout his life spanning about 60 years. After his retirement he is actively involved with nurturing youngsters in schools, convents and church choirs. He is presently the Choir master at St. Philomena’s Church in Mysore where he conducts and plays along with a 50 member strong choir accompanied with mainly acoustic instruments like violin, cellos, double-bass, oboe, flute, clarinet, trumpet and trombones.
Being a constant worker, Felix Joseph has composed and
arranged innumerable sets masses and liturgical music and ably arranged them for full orchestra. A recording of his works is in the process of being a reality soon. He is very instrumental in training and imparting his knowledge to his family members and other youngsters in playing the Violin, Viola, Piano, Vocals, Saxophone, flute and other instruments and grooms them to appear for the Trinity College of Music, London, exams held every year in Bangalore and Mysore.
He hopes he will be able to impart his experience and
knowledge to young and budding music students, which in itself glorifies his humility and sincerity towards Music.
