Believe or not, Spring has finally has finally

sprung! The sun is now stays out longer and
the cool air is slowly leaving us.
This month, 4S has been working hard on decimals. So far, we have
learned that “tenths,” “hundredths,” and “thousandths” can be written
down as both a fraction and decimal. We will continue to work on
properly placing or decimals on a number line, going through one place
value at a time. Our goal is to learn how to compare our decimals and
to go from decimals to fractions, and vice versa.

4S has also been working on our historical fiction reading skills. We love
the fact that we can learn about past real-life events through the
narratives that we are reading. It is also fun to look up pictures on the
internet to help us better understand the time period. We hope to
identify any themes that exist in our books by the end of the unit.
