ABSTRAK

Penggunaan Sistem Informasi (SI) dan Teknologi Informasi (TI) dalam institusi pendidikan
telah menjadi kebutuhan utama untuk peningkatan mutu sekolah, menghadapi persaingan dan
memenuhi tuntutan masyarakat yang semakin tinggi. Penggunaan SI/TI memerlukan perencanaan
dan arahan strategis agar mendukung kinerja organisasi dalam mencapai tujuannya. SMA Alfa
Centauri Bandung sebagai salah satu sekolah swasta yang perkembangannya cukup pesat di kota
Bandung, sudah menggunakan SI/TI dalam penyelenggaraan pendidikan. Namun dalam
pelaksanaan SI/TI SMA Alfa Centauri masih belum optimal, masih banyak terdapat kendala yang
dihadapi. Hal ini disebabkan SMA Alfa Centauri Bandung belum mempunyai suatu rencana
strategis dalam penggunaan SI/TI, penelitian ini dilaksanakan untuk menyusun suatu rumusan
rencana strategis SI/TI. Perencanaan Strategis Sistem Informasi (PSSI) dalam penelitian ini
menggunakan metodologi Ward and Peppard dengan mengkombinasikan beberapa alat analisis
seperti analisis PEST, Porter’s Five Force Models, SWOT, Critical Success Factor, Value Chain
dan McFarlan’s Strategic Grid. Penyusunan dokumen hasil perencanaan disesuaikan dengan pola
umum penyusunan strategis sistem informasi agar didapat keluaran Strategi Bisnis SI, Strategi TI,
Strategi Manajemen SI/TI dan portofolio aplikasi. Hasil dari PSSI ini menjadi cetak biru dalam
pengembangan organisasi sekolah sehingga dapat mendukung terwujudnya visi, misi, dan tujuan
sekolah secara efektif dan efisien.

ABSTRACT

The use of Information Systems (IS) and Information Technology (IT) in educational
institutions have become a necessity in improving the quality of education, facing the competition
and meeting the increasingly high demands of society. The use of IS/IT requires planning and
strategic direction to support the organization's performance in achieving its objectives. In its rapid
development, Alfa Centauri High School in Bandung has been implementing the IS/IT in
education system. However, in its implementation, it is still not optimal, there are still many
obstacles. In fact, Alfa Centauri High School does not have a strategic plan in the use of IS/IT, this
research is conducted to formulate a strategic plan formulation for IS/IT. Strategic Planning of
Information Systems (SPIS) in this study uses the methodology of Ward and Peppard by
combining several analysis tools such as PEST analysis, SWOT, Porter’s Five Force Models,
Critical Success Factor, Value Chain, McFarlan’s Strategic Grid. Result planning document is
adjusted to the general pattern of the preparation of strategic information systems in order to obtain
the output of IS business strategy, IT Strategy, Strategic Management and IS/IT application
portfolio. Results of SPIS is used as the blueprint for the development of school organization in
order to support the realization of the vision, mission and school objectives effectively and
efficiently.
