George Gush is History Lecturer at the West
Kent College of Further Education, and has
for many years made a special study of 16th
and 17th Century military history.
Educated at Tonbridge School, Kent, he won
an Open Seholarship in History to Christ
Church, Oxford, and has pursued a teaching
‘career ever since graduation.
He is ¢ long-time wargames enthusiast, and
wns several miniature 16th and 17th

also currently President of the Pike and Shot
