Guideline for Report Writing on Analysis of a Corporate Structure

Dear all:

(a) Download the annual report of your selected company for the last ten years
(b) Please write a brief report about the selected company considering the following points
 Vision, Mission, and objective of the company
 Core operation of the company
 Different products/services the company sells/provides to generate revenue
 Brief about the MD/CEO of the company. Does the CEO/MD hold any percentage of the share of the
company? Compensation for CEO for last ten years (tabular, graphical and interpretive analysis)
 What percentage of shares is held by general public? And any other institution?
 Block shareholders of the company
 Board of directors of the company and their compensation for last ten years (tabular, graphical and
interpretive analysis)
 Number of independent directors and % of independent directors to total directors for last ten years
(tabular, graphical and interpretive analysis)
 Auditors of the Company and audit fees paid to auditors for last ten years (tabular, graphical and
interpretive analysis)
 Major Shareholders of the company
 Analyze the Gross Margin/ Gross Profit for the last ten years
 Analyze the ROA and ROE for the last ten years (tabular, graphical and interpretive analysis)
 Analyze the Assets, Liabilities and Owners’ Equity for the last ten years (tabular, graphical and interpretive
analysis)
 Total dividend paid and Dividend payout ratio for last ten years (tabular, graphical and interpretive
analysis)
 Liquidity ratio for last ten years Analyze the Assets, Liabilities and Owners’ Equity for the last ten years
(tabular, graphical and interpretive analysis)
 Majors risks the company usually faces
 The stock market(s) where the company is listed, the share current share price, and the value of the firm as
per market based valuation method.
 Changes of the market price of the share for last ten years (tabular, graphical and interpretive analysis)
 Key Incidents happened about the company (you may search in the google with the name of the company)
