    Dear Hon. Pam Simpson,

    I received a juror summons for October 17, 2016. I am writing to request being excused as I teach
    at Plainview School and my absence would be difficult to cover. Our school will be involved in a
    fundraiser that week. A letter from my principal is enclosed.

    I also volunteer to participate with the HOPE Puppet Team at Rainsville First Baptist Church. Our
    fall shows are scheduled for the same week and I am already scheduled to be at church by 5 p.m.
    to work each night of the shows.

    I would truly appreciate being excused for this week. I have served as a juror before, and would
    gladly do so again when I don’t have prior commitments in which my absence would affect so
    many others as well.
