NARRATIVE REPORT
February 15,2019 (Friday) was scheduled for our subject Nursing Leadership and Management
duty at RHU-Echague. ‘The duty was started at 8 o’clock in the moming and some of my groupmates
arrived earlier that time, Teame early because I was assigned as a Head Nurse. [felt excited and nervous
because it was my first time to be an assignee and disseminate tasks for my groupmates. | already
prepared my Gantt Chart, rubrics, stalling so that every task will be organized
We've conducted pre-conference with our Clinical Instruetor Maam Miriam D, Macutay to
inform their designated tasks and each member of the group. I assigned my groupmates in their
respective areas relying on the stalling I made, some were in admission while the other in records and
nutrition lecture. Everybody were very cooperative during our duty and I belive they did their
responsibilities well. My groupmates approached me every time they have questions. They seek for
help so I tried to answer their concems and if I can’t answer them I sought the help of our Clinical
Instructor and stafls.
To be a Head Nurse is a challenging and enjoying at the same time because you should be
knowledgeable and skilfll enough how to manage the group. They should be treated as fiends or
family not as a worker so that you will be respected by them. My group has one goal and that was to
provide a quality health cae services to the clients so we did our best to deliver it, We helped each
other during our duty and it made our tasks easier. Tam so gratefil because I had given an opportunity
to show my skill, I never expect that I did well the task assigned to me and I was able to gain skills in
the community setting
