ALE TIPS FOR THE NEXT GENERATION

By Arch. Lorenzo M. Estoye, uap

Good Day Kaibigan. Here are some tips for BEFORE, DURING, and AFTER your ALE. So take it seriously.
BEFORE THE ALE, the Review Period
Don’t only rely on one source of experience.
2. ALE Review is about Preparations. The more you prepare yourself, the better.
3. Now, how will you know how to prepare? That’s why, interview ang una kong tips para you will have the knowledge of what to come.
4. The more na mabasa mo, the better.
5. Then, before kang magstart magreview, have the list ng mga dapat mong malaman at maunawaan. For you, I had prepared the initial
Nakakadala. As for me kasi is 1 month lang. ang hirap maghabol.
Make it, kung maaari 5-6 months.
Arkitekto ka na for life after
exam, hindi ka na ordinaryong tao. Bawat bitaw mo nang salita e kailangan mong patunayan at panghawakan. Hindi biro ang pagiging
Arkitekto.
a. 1st Phase: 1st and 2nd Month: kailangan mabasa mong lahat nang nasa checklist ko.
And don’t forget to highlight ang make tabs para kapag
tulog ok na. kailangan mong mabasa lahat lahat within this 2 months period.
malaman, kaya sa time na to e dadagdagan mon a yung nasa checklist ko.
paulit ulitin moa raw araw.
time nang pagsasaulo. Pagkakatapos mong magsagot at magcheck e magsaulo ka. Mag exam ka during the day tapos magsaulo
sa umaga, madaling araw at gabi at between exams.
c. 3rd Phase: 5th – 6th Month: dito ang exams mo dapat 90-100% na and in less than 60 mins na ang any 200 items. Paulit ulitin mo
raw araw. Of atleast 1000 items per day.
8. Sa pagsasaulo, have symbolism on everything na sasauluhin nyo. You may take the first letters as abbreviation, or take the first syllabus, or
the drawing etc etc. it helps if the terminologies are deeply rooted to something, kahit ano pa yan. Create stories with it, or you can make
fun of it. Pwede mo rin syang idrawing and make an icon for it, in that way, mas madali mo syang masasaulo at mas magreretain sya sa
brain mo.
9. Take every day, seriously. Strive for excellence each day.
That’s the time. Sa ngayon, mauhaw sa kaalaman araw araw.
10. Have a daily exercise routine kahit 5 mins lang per day. Pero mas advisable ko 15-30mins of exercise a day, kahit puyat ka. Nakakatulong
11. Organize your reviewers, nakaarrange palagi dapat yan per subject complete with tabs and highlights. Kung maaari e nakabind lahat ng
reviewers na print out para mas organize. Mas napaprocess kasi ng brain ang organize things rather than chaotic. Mas natatandaan mo rin.

Architecture Licensure Examination is about 3 things:

1. PHYSICAL
o EAT well every time
o EXERCISE every day, of at least 30mins per day
o ENERGIZE: Sleep well for the 1st & 2nd month, Sleep little for the 3rd & 4th month, Sleep depending on your capacity on the 5th &
6th month
2. MENTAL & EMOTIONAL
o Say this to yourself on the mirror every morning you wake up and every night you sleep: “I WILL BE IN THE TOP 1! BELIEVE”
o Pray for it Everyday
o Post a note where you will see it everytime, “I WILL BE IN THE TOP 1! BELIEVE”
o Write it on your Notebook 3-5 times a day: “I WILL BE IN THE TOP 1! BELIEVE”
o Write it on your Notebook 3-5 times a day: “Arch. Blah Blah Blah, uap ALE JANUARY 2019 TOP 1
o And Always remind yourself of your goal most especially kapag inaantok ka na, or tinatamad ka na, etc. Especially During the
Exam Proper (During the exam proper, I always write my name having Arch & uap every corner of the page, lalo na kapag inaantok
ka or kapag mahirap ang tanong)
o REVIEW PREPARATIONS & EXAM PREPARATIONS IS ALL ABOUT CONDITIONING THE MIND.
3. INTELLECTUAL
o For the 1st & 2nd Month: READ all Topics on the Checklist! Read as many brochures as you can!
o For the 3rd & 4th Month: MEMORIZE all Topics on the Checklist! Analyze Patterns & Systems! Do Further Research on the Topics
you know little. Take 200-400 items Everyday!
o For the 5th & 6th Month: RECALL & FAMILIARIZE EVERYTHING! MEMORIZE THE REMAINING THINGS! Take 800-1000 items
Everyday! Do not rely only on the REFRESHER!

Another TRINITY of ALE Preparations & Review are:

1. Breakdown Lessons & Topics!
2. ANALYZE the Patterns & Systems
3. MEMORIZATION & FAMILIARIZATION

ALE SKILL SET you’ll be needing:

1. MAX VOCUBULARY
 You can acquire this skill through READING & MEMORIZING all the topics on the checklist on the 1st & 2nd Month of the Review
 You need to push yourself to acquire this skill because it will level up your skill as an Architect and will prepare you to be
knowledgeable enough on our field of expertise
2. FAST & RIGHT JUDGEMENT
 It requires the skill of MAX VOCUBULARY
 This skill will be acquire through TAKING EXAMS OF AT LEAST 200-400 ITEMS PER DAY IN NOT MORE THAN 60 MINS! (My fastest
record of a 200-item exam is approximately 14 mins. BEAT IT!)
 Why will you need it? You will be using THIS SKILL on the 1st TRINITY OF ALE EXAM (RUN THE FASTEST!)
3. READING COMPREHENSION & LOGICAL REASONING
 Nearly half but not more than half are the questions where you’ll be using this skill BUT almost ALL CHOICES ARE VERY TRICKY so
you’ll be needing this SKILL!
 NOTE! The Design Problem on the review is VERY EASY COMPARE TO THE DESIGN PROBLEM ON THE EXAM!!! BE VERY CAREFUL!!!
If that’s the case, you’ll be needing to practice & acquire this skill.
 You can acquire this skill THROUGH ANSWERING 1-5 LOGICAL & READING COMPREHENSION PROBLEMS PER DAY! Regardless of
topic.
4. GREATER STAMINA
 You can acquire this HALF OF THE SKILL THROUGH DAILY EXERCISE ESPECIALLY CARDIO EXERCISE FOR PHYSICAL STAMINA.
 The other HALF OF THE SKILL WILL BE ACQUIRE THROUGH DAILY EXERCISE OF YOUR MENTAL & EMOTIONAL STAMINA. (the
exercise I had given above)
 You’ll be needing that two kinds of Exercise for you to withstand long hours of the exam. It is LITERALLY PHYSICALLY, MENTALLY,
EMOTIONALLY, INTELLECTUALLY (AND EVEN SPITIUALLY, IF YOU ARE LOSING HOPE) DRAINING!!!
5. SUPER CAREFULNESS!!! (ULTI !!!)
 THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT SKILL YOU’LL BE NEEDING!!!!!!!!!!
 I take the exam knowing that I had so many things not yet read, analyze & memorize BUT THIS SKILL take me to where I am now.
I will be discussing this further on my strategy during the exam.

On the other hand, ALE Exam Proper has these TRINITY: (My Personal Strategy during the Exam)
1. RUN THE FASTEST!
 Answer the test as fast as you can! Use your 1ST, 2ND and 3RD SKILL here!
 Answer the test for just 90 mins! If the Problem is difficult, skip. The FIRST OBJECTIVE IS TO REACH ITEM 200!
2. SLOW & CAREFUL!
 Here, you’ll still be needing the 1st to 3rd skill but, now, with the help of your 4th skill, THE GREATER STAMINA!
 After answering the exam for just 90 mins (for 1st day and 5 hrs for the 2nd day), you will now REVIEW ALL ITEMS FROM THE START
TO FINISH with SLOWER PHASE but not more than 90 mins again. Make it for only 30-45 mins. REVIEW! REVIEW! REVIEW!
Question every choices! What if ito ang isagot ko? What if ganto pala yung problem. What if ganto pala scenario. ANALYZE
DEEPER! QUESTION YOUR ANSWERS! What if mali ito? BUT REMEMBER TO USE 1 st to 3rd SKILL!!! Baka kasi mag overthinking ka,
lalong mali ang sagot mo. Take this for only 30-45 mins (for the 1st day and 60-90 mins for the 2nd day)
3. BE VERY CAREFUL!!!!!!!!
 Now, USE YOUR ULTI!!!!!
 After reviewing your answers, REVIEW AGAIN WITH NOT LESS THAN 5 TIMES!!! Do not pass your paper once you finish answering.
REVIEW YOUR ANSWERS until the time runs out! YOU HAVE PLENTY OF TIME, MAXIMIZE IT! DO THIS EXAM ONCE! DO THIS EXAM
EXCELLENT!
4. REPEAT IT FOR EVERY EXAM! REPEAT IT FOR YOUR DAILY LIFE! REPEAT IT WHEN YOU BECOME A FULL – PLEDGE ARCHITECT!
