MALACANANG Manila EXE CUTIVE ORDER NU. 72 PROVIDING FOR THE PREPARATION AND IMPLEMENTATION OF THE COMPRENUNSIVE LAND USE PLANS OF 1 OCAL GOVERNMENT UNITS PURSUANT TO THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT CODE OF 1991 AND OTHER PERTINENT Laws. Plan formulation or updating. - (a) Cities and municipalities shal! continue to formulate or update their respective comprehensive land use plans, in conformity with the land use planning and zoning standards and guidelines prescribed by the HLURB pursuant +0 national policies. Ms a policy recommending bouy of the LGU, the city o: municipal development council (CDC/MDC) shall initiate the formulation or updating of its land use plan, in consultation with the concerned sectors in the community. (b) The comprehensive land use plans component cities and municipalities shall be formulated, adopted, or modified in accordance with ‘he approved provincial comp-ehensive land use plans. (c) Cities aml municipalities of Metrope!itan Manila shall continue to formulate or update their respective comp-ehensive land use plans, in accordance w the lane use planning and zoning standards and guideline: prescribes by the HLRS pursuant to €0 392, S. of 1990, and other pertinent national policies. (6) Provinces shall formulate and update theic respective comprehensive land use plans in accordance with the national standards and guidelines. As a policy recommending body of the province, provincial development council (PDC) shall itiate formulation or updating of its land use plan, consultation with the concerned sectors in its component units. For this purpose, it may snek the assistance of any provincial official or field officer of NGAs operating in the province. the provincial planning and development coordinator (PPDC} and/or the provincial .agriculturist (PA) shall provise the technical support services and such other assistance as may be required by ‘the PDC to effectively carry out this funct:en. ihe comprehensive land use plan prepared ty the PDC be submitted to the sanyyuniang pantslawigan for ent into an ordinance. Plan review and approval. - (a) Pursuant to Seclion 468 (a-2-vi1} of the LGC, the powers of the HLRB to revic. and approv; the comprehensive land use plans of comp:-ent cities ant municipalitics are hereby sevalved to the vrovince.
