FACTORS THAT AFFECTING THE DETERMINATION OF PRIORITY ROAD HANDLING PALU CITY

Abstrak

Abstract

The road is a transportation that directly encourages economic growth, otherwise the road requires
investment that is not cheap. Streamlines facilities and transportation infrastructure support the acceleration
and convenience of the distribution of goods, population movements and the information from a location to
another location. Palu city has a strategic role. from the aspect of land transportation, Palu city used as the
origin and destination of the movement that led to other cities. the road network tends to decrease the condition
indicated by the occurrence of road damage. it is necessary to handling the road conditions in accordance
with the planned. road maintenance programs should continue to be undertaken by local governments.

This study aims to determine the factors that affecting the determination of handling priority palu city
road, the method used primary data that conducted by distributing questionnaires, analyze data used
descriptive statistic by presenting data in tabular form. Data processed using Relative Rank Index (RRI) to
validate and rehabilitate test and for correlation analysis data process by using SPSS25 application.

The results of this study to indicate the dominant factors that affecting the determination of handling
priority palu city road is as follows: the hole factor on the road representing the road condition with RRI value
87.0%. traffic volume factor by average daily traffic (LHR) with RRI 84,9%, geographical condition that prone
to disaster with RRI value 82,7%, region development factor with RRI value 82,2%, geographical condition
factor by ground conditions with RRI value of 82.2%, while the correlation between dominant factor
correlated with LHR factor (Average Daily Traffic) with correlation coefficient value of 0,999 included in very
strong correlation criteria, development factor region correlated with importance factors with correlation
coefficient value is 0,999 included in very strong correlation criterion, ground condition factor correlated
with road condition factors i.e hole with correlation coefficient value that is 0,999 included in very strong
criteria correlation .
