Project Description:

Project Description:

Vehicle Information Control System (VICS) consists of processing required to maintain vehicle
insurance policies and generating master statistics that are input for the MSTAT system. Predictive
modeling is about introducing new rating process to VICS. As a part of the new model, the various
factors of the policy that are considered to predict accurately the risk involved, are redefined and are now
a part of the rating process. The predictive modeling is aimed at refining the rating process in determining
the insured’s premium with ever changing rating factors. The predictive modeling is being incorporated in
phases. Phase 1 and Phase 2 are successfully deployed in production. Integration testing is the 3rd and
final phase of predictive modeling.

Project Description:

CIGNA is a global health service company, dedicated to helping people improve their health,
well-being and security. This project is a part of CIGNA initiative of maintaining claim details from
various claim engines into a single common repository. This is one phase of development. The other one
is claim tracking.
CIGNA plans to deliver monthly financial summary statements to all active members that
outline HRA and FSA account balances, claim and payment activity. Statements would be generated
even, if no claim activity or payment occurred during the statement period. This statement would be
generated by extracting details from claim repository. The project basically deals with stored
procedures and COBOL-DB2 program.

• Analyzing application design specification and preparing work request plan.
