Submission to The Research Assistant : homework must be handwriting report in English,


The case study must be written in the report with the analysis performed.

Grading: 20% contribution to the final grade.

Q- 1 (25 points): a) Think about and create an industrial/ business problem scenario (Key problem
topics are available at the bottom of this page)
b) Describe a set of data based on the scenario (problem story) above. The set of data may consist of
real observations /measurements or can be obtained from the web page of an organization
/institution, firm or can be produced by using a random number generator software programs.
c) Define the dimension and properties of the data set: size- number of observations, number of
variables and type of the variables.

Q-2 (40 points): Analyze the data set by using Excel or SPSS software packages by applying at
least three statistical data analysis techniques (descriptive measures, charts/diagrams, sampling and
its distribution, interval estimation, hypothesis testing procedures)

Q-3 (15 points): Examine and compare results obtained/extracted from statistical analyses and write
a conclusion.

Q-4 (20 points): Write an executive report (including short story of the problem, data collection
procedure, data structure, visualization techniques-charts, conclusion and references).
