 PREFACE

The report has been intended to reflect some of the basic issues covered under the
“Working Capital Management” of Venus Footart Ltd. All the aspects have been
formulated and presented on the basis of the ideas and information gathered by the
researcher during the span of project training. This gives a practical exposure of the
content under topic, what has already been studied in classroom in theoretical form.

This report has been written in response to comprehensive study conducted on the
topic. The reports mentions and evaluates various aspects, pertaining to the working
capital management of the company.

After a thorough analysis of various facts and stand figures, a set of conclusion has
been given the prime considerations, while compiling the report and are authoritative
and authentic.

 Executive Summery

The footwear sector has matured from the level of manual footwear manufacturing
methods to automated footwear manufacturing systems. Many units are equipped with
In-house Design Studios incorporating state-of-the-art CAD systems having 3D Shoe
Design packages that are intuitive and easy to use. Many Indian footwear factories have
also acquired the ISO 9000, ISO 14000 as well as the SA 8000 certifications. Excellent
facilities for Physical and Chemical testing exist with the laboratories having tie-ups with
leading international agencies.

This project acts as a reference guide or as a source of information. It gives the idea
about the financial analysis and working capital of the firm. Working Capital
management contributes for the firm efficiency as well as the finance manager is proper
utilizing the available wealth and maintaining the required liquidity.

Venus Footart Ltd working capital has increased which is favorable position to the
company. It clearly shows that Venus Footart Ltd has profit orient company. So it was
not facing shortage of working capital in initial years. So it had to increase its working
capital to stand in the business world
