The main objective of this research is to determine the effectiveness of incorporating the diagrid
structural system in a parking as an alternative to steel framed parking.
1. Determine the criteria needed in designing a parking as a basis for comparison. . Identify the type of
zone the selected steel framed parking is located through observation.

3. Design the parking lot, based from the plan of the selected steel framed parking design, using STAAD
Pro (for steel member design).
4. Estimate the construction cost of the diagrid parking and steel framed parking.
5. Compare the effectiveness of the proposed steel diagrid parking and the selected steel framed
parking design through statistical data analysis.
