Writing Reflection

This assignment was about who best used rhetoric to influence their audience about
social justice and equality. I believe I have met the expectations of the rubric because I used and
explained why ethos, pathos and logos was. I explained which author did the best at using
rhetoric and how they influence their audience better than the other two. At the end I explained
how successful the authors were. I prepared myself by reading through the texts and speeches. I
gathered important information from the reading and used to write quick writes and to do
paideias in class. I would do things differently by taking class work more seriously and reading
the texts more in depth.
The easy was a bit difficult in the beginning because I had a hard time trying to introduce the
topic and how to introduce the authors. Other than that I was able to use my quick writes to help
me explain who was the best and why they were the best. I came up with my thesis because
reading through all texts, Malala Yousafzai did the best at explaining her situation, catching the
audience's attention and uses rhetoric to advance her purpose of education for all. Now that we
had our paideia I am definitely more confident that Malala uses rhetoric better than Alvarez and
King. But hearing other people's opinions and hearing their explanations gives me an open mind
of why people might disagree with my opinion.
