Patches

Can’t Cover the Patches except these = Fentanyl (Duragesic) and Buprenorphine (Butrans)

Weekly Patches => Estradiol => Climara & Menostar, Ortho Evra (Estradiol + Norelgestromin)
Clonidine (Catapress-TTS),

Twice Weekly => Alora, Vivelle Dot and Oxybutynin

For 72 Hours = > Fentanyl (Can be used for 48 hours if patch fall off), Scopolamine (Transderm-Scop)

Daily => Methylphenidate (Daytrana), Nicoderm CQ, Exelon (Rivastigmine), Neupro (Rotigotine),
Selegiline (Emsam), Lidocaine (12 Hrs On & 12 Hrs Off), Nitroglycerine (Minitran OR Minidur) 12-14
Hrs On & 10-12 Hrs Off, Testosterone (Androderm) Once Nightly

Twice Daily = > Diclofenac (Flector), Salonpas,

LOCATIONS
Transderm-Scop => Behind Ear – Alternate Q 72 Hours

Daytrana => Alternate Hip Every Morning

Estrogen => Lower Abdomen, sometimes on Buttock

Testosterone => Lower Abdomen, Upper Thighs

Fentanyl (Duragesic) => Chest, Back, Upper arm

Patches in MRI
Most of the Patches Need to be Removed before MRI, it’s better if we know the ones which don’t have
to be Removed or are Safe during MRI. The safe Patches are:

Estradiol (Alora, Climara, Estraderm, Menostar, Ortho Evra)

Nitroglycerine (Minitran, Nitro-dur), Oxybutynin (Oxytrol), Lidocaine (Lidoderm).
