Your Excellency,

Greetings from the people of Lango Association of North America. The purpose for this letter is
to keep you informed that on June 23rd, 2013 the people of Lango formed their association. The
inaugural ceremony took place in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Most members came from across
the United States and Canada to take part in witnessing the birth of LAONA. The association is
still in its development stage, but we are striving hard to grow and expand in membership.

The main purpose for the formation of the association was to promote our culture, education, and
among other things, work together as members to contribute to the improvement of the
livelihood of people in Lango regions. The issues that are affecting Lango people are countless
but together, we can solve the most pressing problems by uniting together to seek for better
solutions to eradicate poverty and illiteracy, because these two issues has continued to suppress
and subject our people to low level of living, and a challenge to regional development.

Mr. President, on behalf of LAONA, I want to thank you for your leadership and dedication that
you have provided to the Republic of Uganda and most especially, Northern Uganda. Your
accomplishments are noticeable and together we can transform our country for the better.

I look forward to meeting you in person to discuss matters that concerns our great nation,
Uganda.
