MOCK INTERVIEW WRITE-UP

Most of the questions asked happened to be like the questions on the assignment. I

learned a lot about myself. What should I say? What shouldn’t I say? How do I turn a negative

into a positive?

Before the interview began, I asked my interviewer what kind of questions she was going

to ask me. Did she even give me a hint? Nope. I think that was one of the things I loved about

this assignment. The surprise questions.

We began by asking what my greatest strength is. I said my greatest strength is my heart.

I said that because you can fake your intelligence. You can fake your patience. You can’t fake

what’s in your heart. I’m reminded of Matthew 5:8. “Blessed are the pure in heart: for they

shall see God.” I think interviewers can see through your fake answers. Did I have problems

answering the first question? No.

What is my greatest weakness? My greatest weakness is my temperament. I was warned

about that answer because most employers want temperament not to be an issue. So, I went with

my second weakness. Sometimes I’m unorganized, however my organization skills have

improved since I began college. I’ve taken some classes about organization. There are times

where my organization skills fail, and that’s my greatest weakness.

The next question was How do you handle stress and pressure? I think school has made it

easier to deal with stress and pressure. I think I handle stress pretty well because it motivates me

to succeed. Without pressure how would we stay motivated? I don’t want the opposite of

motivation to happen (laziness).

MOCK INTERVIEW WRITE-UP

I attempted to turn a negative into a positive the best I could, however I fear I didn’t give

clear enough answers. Clearly, I need to practice before I go for a real interview. My future

career depends on the simple answers I chose to write about.
