 Description of Event/Activity
An event organized by Punjab Thalassaemia Prevention programme with
collaboration of Jahad for zero thalassaemia JZT- Chiniot and JZT-Pakistan.
Event starts with recitation of Holy Quran and Naat-e-Rasool‫ﷺ‬. Then
Respected Madam Dr. Shabnam Bashir (Project Director P.T.P.P) introduce
P.T.P.P and the services given by P.T.P.P in Chiniot and Province Punjab
and tell about future plane of Punjab government to prevent and as well
as cure of Thalassaemia.
Then Mr. Irfan Shafkat (Member Council of Mentors JZT-Pakistan) tell
about difficulties of a family have Thalassaemic child or children and about
the work of JZT in Pakistan. Then Molana Muhammad Ilyas Chinioti sb
(M.P.A) appreciate P.T.P.P and Government for these services and discus
some problems related to Thalassaemia and other health facilities in
Chiniot. Then Dr. Yasmeen Ehsan (Project coordinator P.T.P.P) told about
complications and mode of transmission of disease. Then Ch. Masood
Iqbal sb (Owner Iqbal Rice Mills Chiniot) tell about contribution of Iqbal
Rice Mills in district Chiniot and specially in health sector and surety to be
with P.T.P.P in serving Thalassaemic patients.
Then Dr. Malik Munir sb (C.E.O Health Narowal) Brief about present health
facilities in district Chiniot and give some opinions to make them better
than now. At the last Prof. Hafiz Muhammad Gulam Mustafa (Principle
superior college Chiniot) tell that the information and awareness material
about prevention of Thalassaemia should be a part of our primary and
secondary course. Then Shield distribution for all the Chief Guests. Then
Mr. Saad Munir (District coordinator JZT) pay thanks all honorable guests.
After that there is refreshment for general public, Tea for guests and
Lunch for All Chief Guests and management.
