At the start of 4th week of internship the branch Manager assigned me a work. He provided me a
huge excel file containing customers information, from there I have to find out dormant account,
dormant account are those accounts which didn’t make any transaction in the last 12 months and
those account became inactive. My task is to find out the dormant account and make contact with
the account holder via phone, then notify them that about their account and convince customers
to make transaction with their account so that they can active their account.
In addition I have to do other work like making phone call to customer informing to receive their
cheque book and ATM card. One common task that I have to do every day is filling up account
opening form. Now my superior officers quite rely with my work. They allow me to directly talk
with the customer and collect all document and take necessary signature in the account opening
forms, and I personally feel valuable in my organization. However sometime sometimes the
work load is so much especially at the end of the week and I have to multi task.
One thing I noticed about my branch manager is he never appreciates anyone work instead he
says you have to do better, if anyone done any mistake he actually becomes so furious. That’s
the reason in my branch few of the officers quit their job and some shifts to other branch. Other
than the manager all the officers are friendly and supportive.
