Brent Cheatham worked as an intern in my classroom during the spring semester of the
2018-2019 school year. I would like to highly recommend him for a teaching position in your
organization.

Mr. Cheatham is one of the strongest teaching candidates that I have worked with in my career.
From the first day, he had a wonderful rapport with both myself and the students in our 8th
grade social studies classes. His manner in the classroom is friendly but firm. I was impressed
at how well he handled discipline with some of our more difficult students. My classes are both
on level and honors, and Mr. Cheatham worked equally well with each group. In addition, he
took initiative often. For example he helped create and modify several powerpoints for our
classroom. In addition, he was able to teach effectively when he had the opportunity to do so.
He also made sure that the students understood each of the concepts he was teaching. His
lessons were engaging and educational simultaneously. He was quick to notice when students
were off task and quickly helped to redirect them.

I believe that Mr. Cheatham would be an excellent teacher for your organization. Please feel
