Let me start off by stating that I do not recommend many students. However, after actively
working with Malani Sampath for several years in martial arts training her discipline and work
ethic have to be praised.

Malani had earned a 3rd Degree Black Belt ranking at my school, which takes a minimum for 8
years of consistent training. During that time she completed over 300 hours of assisted teaching
in the junior belt children’s classes where she demonstrated leadership, compasion, and
tenacity. She also revealed strong personal character when she challenged herself by cross
training in multiple martial arts styles such as Karate, Aikido and Kali.

Black Belt excellence is a trait we require at our school both on and off the mat. Malani
accomplished this by consistently achieving high academic marks and earning our Academic
Achievement award on numerous grading periods.

I recommend that you accept Malani into your program. I am confident she will make a strong
addition to your school and community. Please feel free to reach out to me if you have any
