MUSIC
Event 1: Vibrato – Western Solo
Date: 10th March, 2019
Event Description:
Ever wondered how to unleash the Stevie Wonder in you? Who knows?! You could possibly
have Taylor Swift’s timbre. Well, here’s your forte.
Rules and Regulations:

 All performances must be in English. Usage of any other languages can lead to
disqualification.
 Time limit for each performance (including set up) is 3 minutes.
 Each participant MUST have a college id for verification during Milan Id registration.
 A single accompanist or a karaoke (backing track without vocals) will be allowed.
 The decision of the judges will be final.

Event 2: Alankar – Eastern/Classical/Regional Solo
Event Description:
This one is for the desi lovers. Exactly locating the mid-grounds between core art forms, as
the name happens to be self-explanatory; ‘Light’ music. You could sing what your heart says
and still sound enigmatic!

 All performances must be in Indian languages (Hindi/Tamil/Telugu/Kannada/others)
only.
 Time limit for each performance (including set up) is 3 minutes.
 Only Indian classical i.e. Hindustani and Carnatic Classical forms are allowed.
 Each participant MUST have a college ID for verification during Milan ID
registration.
 A backing track (karaoke) or an accompanist will be allowed.
Event 3: Acapella

 Team size – Minimum: 3 and Maximum: 8 members
 No backing tracks or instruments allowed.
 Team may have singers/beatboxers/ rappers, etc. in any number within the team size
limit.
 Time limit including setup is 7 minutes.
 Each participant MUST have a college id for verification during Milan Id registration.
Event 4: Symphony – Instrumental Solo
Event Description:
Years of blood and sweat! Showcase your skills this is the best chance you’ll get!!

 Time limit: 5 minutes
 No accompanist or backing track is allowed.
 No instrument will be provided by the college.
 All participants must carry their college ids for Milan id registration.
 The decisions of the judges will be final.
Event 5: Euphony – Instrumental Trio
Event Description:
Years of blood and sweat! Showcase your skills this is the best chance you’ll get!!

 Time limit: 15 minutes (including setup time)
 Bands must consist not more or less than 3 members. Only 3 members are allowed.
 No loop or backing track is allowed.
 No instrument will be provided by the college. (Drums and amplifiers will be
provided)
Event 6: Fuzon – Eastern & Western Fusion
Event Description:
The fusion between two vocal chords. No more; no less. Only difference being that each has
to sing in a different language (can be any 2 different languages)

 Time limit: 5 minutes
 A single accompanist or backing track is allowed.
 Duet could be between any 2 eastern/western vocalists or 1 eastern and 1 western
vocalist.
Event 7: Resonance – Battle of Bands (Western)
Event Description:
While it seems like a battle among various bands, it is a war among the notes, rage of the
rhythm and a clash of the octaves! Every single band is a beautiful battle per se, ain’t it?

 A minimum of 3 and Maximum of 10 participants are allowed.
 This is a Western Band competition for college bands only.
 Use of any language apart from English will lead to disqualification.
 Every participant MUST carry a valid college id for Milan id registration.
 Backing tracks or loopers are not permitted.
 Original compositions will be given more weightage. However, the final decision
regarding the same will be taken by the judges.
 Time limit including set up: 15 minutes.
Event 8: Tarang – Battle of Bands (Eastern)
Event Description:
While it seems like a battle among various bands, it is a war among the notes, rage of the
rhythm and a clash of the octaves! Every single band is a beautiful battle per se, ain’t it?
Rules and Regulations

 A minimum of 3 and Maximum of 10 participants are allowed.
 This is an Eastern Band competition for college bands only.
 Performances should be in any of the Indian languages.
 Every band member MUST carry their college id for Milan ID registration.
 Backing tracks and loopers are not permitted.
 Participants are requested to get their own instruments. A standard drum kit,
amplifiers and microphones will be provided at the venue.
 Original compositions will be given more weightage than cover songs. However, the
final decision regarding the same will be taken by the judges
 Time limit including the set up: 15 minutes.
Event 9: Beatdrop – Beatbox Battle
Event Description:
Each battle should consist of 2 rounds each with every participant getting 1 min per round to
do his or her beat.

 No instruments are permitted.
 A maximum of 3 min is allowed.
 One accompanist is allowed.
 No recorded tracks.
 Do not bite (copy) someone else’s work. New/fresh stuff is more than welcome.
 Competitors should not perform beat box routines as already performed in public by
other beat boxers, to the best of their knowledge. Intellectual property rights must be
respected.
 Judges decision is final. In terms of a tiebreaker, an additional round will be given for
the competitors.
Event 10: Wrap It Up – Rap Battle
Event Description:
Each battle should consist of 2 rounds each with every participant getting 1 min per round to
do his or her beat.

 No instruments are permitted.
 A maximum of 3 min is allowed.
 One accompanist is allowed.
 No recorded tracks.
 Do not bite (copy) someone else’s work. New/fresh stuff is more than welcome.
 Competitors should not perform beat box routines as already performed in public by
other beat boxers, to the best of their knowledge. Intellectual property rights must be
respected.
 Judges decision is final. In terms of a tiebreaker, an additional round will be given for
the competitors.
Event 11: Battle of DJs
Event Description:
DJs from across the country compete at the mainstage. Two DJs take on each other head-to-
head at a time where each of them gets a limited amount of time to showcase their skills. The
performances would be judged by a panel of judges on the basis of creativity, track selection,
techniques and crowds response.

 A time limit of 5 minutes fixed per set, although there is no limit on the number of
tracks that can be used.
 After the set, judges will score the participants on a scale of 1-10.
 Top two highest scores will compete in the final round.
 The top two DJs will have 10 minutes to impress the judges and the crowd.
 Final results will be decided based on the judges’ scoring and the crowd’s response.
Event 12: 60 Minutes to Win It
Event Description:
This one is for the avid music producers out there. Based on a bunch of samples given on the
spot, the producer must create a drop within 60 minutes. Open to use any DAW. The person
who ends up with the most creative drop wins it all!

 No samples other than those given on the spot would be allowed to be used.
 Judges would be constantly monitoring the sessions in order to prevent any
malpractice.
 Judging will be based on several criteria which include creativity, skills, methods
used.
 Laptops and other required equipment are to be brought by each participant.
 Participants are allowed to use any music production software (DAW) that they are
comfortable with.
DANCE
Event 1: Swag It Off – Western Solo (College Level)
Time Limit: 3 to 5 Minutes

 Presenting a student ID card of your current institution is mandatory for participation.
 Obscenity and vulgarity of any kind will lead to disqualification.
 Participants must carry the audio track in a pen-drive. The pen-drive must bear the
name of the individual and name of his/her college.
 Participants should carry a backup of their tracks.
 Usage of props is allowed. Any kind of fluid, flame, powders, glitters, heavy or sharp
objects or any material which has possibility of tampering/damaging the stage is
STRICTLY not allowed.
 The decision of the judges shall be final and binding.

Event 2: Like A Pro – Western Solo + (Professional Level)

 The songs should be strictly classical. Film songs are not allowed.

Event 4: Kill the Beat – Dance Battle (College Level)
Team Size: 4 to 6 Participants
Category: Crew v/s Crew Hip Hop All Style Battle
Rules and Regulation:

 The battle round shall consist of 2 rounds.
 In each round a member from each team or number of members from a team shall
enter the battle area and perform their set or throw down (solo or routines) for a fixed
period of time. Once their time is over they will be informed to move from the battle
area and let their opponents to enter the battle and perform their set.
 The decision of the judges will be final and binding.
Event 5: Double Trouble - Dual Dance Competition
Team Size: 2 Participant

Event 6: The Story Tellers – ChoreoNite (Theme)
Time Limit: 5 to 7 Minutes (+1 min setup and clearance time)

 Only one team per college is allowed. Presenting a student ID card of your current
institution is mandatory for participation
 Vulgarity and obscenity at any point is strictly not allowed. It can lead to immediate
disqualification.
 Performers have to clear the stage in the given time after their performance otherwise
they will be disqualified.

MOVIES AND DRAMATICS
Event 1: Nukkad Natak
Event Description:
Get ready with your dhol and tell your message to the whole crowd.
"aao aao natak dikhao"
Nukkad Nataks (street plays) are supposedly the oldest forms of theatre and also a strong
medium for mass communication; a means to spread awareness about social issues to live
audiences and gather their instant reactions

 Maximum number of teams per University/College- 2.
 Maximum number of participants per team- 20.
 The time limit is 25 minutes including setup time.
 Uniform Dressing has to be maintained throughout the act.
 The use of Props and makeup is allowed.
 The use of pre-recorded music is prohibited.
 The use of harmful materials such as fire etc. is prohibited.
 The use of foul language and offensive words is prohibited.
 The act can be in English, Tamil or Hindi or a mix of the three.
 The teams have to adhere to the time limit and rules or else there will be
negative marking.
 The decision of the judges will be final and no appeals will be entertained.

Event 2: Centre Stage:
Event Description:
Taking on characters that are complex and deliver tough lines is nothing but a piece of cake
for the typical theatre artist. And here’s the opportunity for your team to come up with a
captivating performance, in one of the biggest events ever!

 Duration: 30-50 minutes (3 minutes for stage set up)
 Maximum members per team: 7 (participants) 2 (production team)
 One team per college.
 One winner and one runner up
 Scripts should not have any form of vulgarity
 Should not exceed specified time limit (which also includes time specified for
stage set up).
 Only one team can represent their college for this event.
 Props offered: 2 tables and 5 chairs.
 Any other arrangements required must be intimated as soon as registration is
completed, and at least 1 week before the event.
Event 3: Can You Act
Event Description:
Are emotions your best friend? Is spinning tales out of thin air your favorite hobby? You
have seven minutes with you. From our array of choices, you pick a gender, an emotion, a
prop and a storyline, and you make your story and act it out.

 Preparation time after picking the lots: 3 minutes and should not be exceeded.
 It’s an individual performance and you cannot involve another person in your story by
asking them to share the stage with you.
 You cannot exceed performance time of 4 minutes.
 No vulgarity will be accepted.
 A second choice in picking chits will not be allowed.
 Should not exceed time limit.
Event 4: Spotlight (Mono-Acting)
Event Description:
If you have the charm and charisma to keep the eyes of the audience all to yourself, then this
event is made just for you.
Round 1:
In this round, participants will be expected to prepare a performance for 4 - 7 minutes
on a topic of their choice.
Round 2:
The topic/premise will be provided on the spot and one will be allowed to perform for
a maximum time of 7 minutes.
The participant will be given the topic, before the performance of the preceding
participant.

 No profanity or vulgarity should be there in the performance.
 Multiple entries from a college are allowed
 One can perform in Hindi, English or Tamil
Event 5: Short Film
Event Description:
One of the biggest short film competition in SRM IST!

 A copy of college ID of the participants should be sent to us when posting your film.
 The short films should be compatible in VLC player.
 All short films in languages other than English should have sub-titles.
 The short film should not exceed 10 – 12 minutes
 Copies of the film should be sent on or before 05th March, 2019
 Any genre of short film is welcome
 Any short film showcasing vulgarity will be rejected.
 At the time of screening, all members from the team should be compulsorily present.
 There is no limit to the number of members per team
 Multiple entries are not allowed.
 The judges’ decision will be final and biding.
 There will be only 1 round.
Event 6: Variety Show

 Any no. of teams per college is allowed but one person can register only for one team.
 Usage of any kind of props in not allowed.
 The time limit is-
Minimum – 10 minutes
Maximum – 15minutes
 A maximum of 10 people per team is allowed.
 The use of fire and other harmful materials is strictly prohibited.
 Usage of music is allowed however it should have no words whatsoever.
 No kind of verbal hint is allowed throughout the performance.
 Maximum time for each team is 10 minutes from empty stage to empty stage.
FASHION
Event 1: Ramp Walk

 Each team can have a maximum of 15 participants (excluding the helpers. Each team
is allotted 15 minutes from the time they enter till they leave the stage (team would be
given negative marks if they exceed the time limit)
 Each member of the team should strictly follow the theme
 Use of accessories is encouraged unless it could damage the stage
 No form of vulgarity would be tolerated
 Music tracks should be submitted 2 hours prior to the show
 Possession of college ID card is a must by every member of the team

Event 2: Designer Round (Theme- Eco-Friendly)

 Each team can have a maximum of 3 participants
 Each team will be allotted maximum of 4 minutes to showcase their costume
(including the speaker if necessary)
 The costume should be creative and eco-friendly
 No form of vulgarity would be tolerated
Event 3: Mr. & Ms. MILAN

Anyone can participate in this round. There would be a total of 3 rounds
Round 1
 Participants have to ramp walk on the stage for 30 seconds to show their
personality and stage presence
 Those who qualify Round 1 must show up for Round 2
Round 2
 Participants would have to model for a product for 30 seconds. They can give
as many poses as they want in that duration
 The product for which they would be modeling would be decided by picking
chits, just before they enter the stage
 They would be judged on the ability to pose with the product and their presence
of mind
 Those who qualify Round 2 must show up for Round 3
Round 3
 This is a talent round where the participants have to showcase their talent on
the stage for 1 min
 This will be followed by interactive questioning round where the participant
will have to answer the question asked by the judges
General Rules:
 The participants should bring their own audio track to be played. Other specific
requirements for this round like musical instruments etc. should be brought by the
participant
 Decision of the judges would be final.
 Every member of the team should possess the college ID card at the time of
registration before every event
 The colleges must report 2 hours prior to the show for slot picking
 Sound tracks should be submitted at the time of slot picking
 Green room will be available behind the stage
 Ramp will be provided
LITERARY
Event 1: British Parliamentary Debate:

 Two speakers represent each of the four teams and will have to give a speech of seven
and four minutes respectively.
 The theme for the topics will be either socio-economic issues or issues regarding
fundamental rights and their scope.
 Two topics will be given prior to the date of the event. One will be chosen on the day
of the event and the proponent and opponent will be given 20 minutes before the
event to each team.
 The following chart describes the basic format and time limits.

Event 2: Policy Debate
Event Description:
Policy debate involves the proposal of a plan by the affirmative team to enact a policy, while
the negative team offers reasons to reject that proposal with a policy of their own.
Throughout the debate, students have the opportunity to cross-examine one another. A judge
or panel of judges determines the winner based on the arguments presented.

 Each team will consist of two members
 Each team will have to inform about their policy to the opposing team and to the
judge 3 minutes before the debate.
 The total debate will be of 5 minutes. It will be spontaneous i.e. no member should
wait for their chance to speak
Event 3: Shipwreck

 In this event two participants would be competing against each other on the stage.
 Each of them would be given a fictitious or real-world character which they would have
to role play. The condition would be that both of them are on a ship which is drowning.
The judge will be acting as the captain of the ship and he has only one person’s space
left on the backup boat with him. The two participants will have to convince the captain
to give that space to the character they are role playing.
 The characters of the participants which they should choose to accept will be given to
them on spot by the judge.
 After 30 seconds of allotting the characters they will have to start speaking.
 The time period for them would be 4 minutes. They can use props in their respective
speeches too.
Event 4: JAM
Event Description:
Just-A-Minute (or JAM) is an all-round-fun event that is all about the control of the mind
over the mouth. You have to make it through sixty seconds of non-stop talking without
hesitation, repetition, or deviation.

 It is an individual event
 To object, slam the table and say JAM. The JAM master decides when you are
allowed to put forth your objection on.
 Penalties will be marked if the participant
1. You object out of turn
2. You stutter, stammer, and generally indulge in “time-wasting tactics”. These
include efforts to buy time like interspersing your talk with “uhm”, “aah” etc...
3. Early start and late start
4. Speaking too fast or too slow
5. Grammatical errors
6. Undue stress on words, undue emphasis in the sentences
7. Repetition of a previously used idea
8. The total time is sixty seconds, inclusive of all the time that all the speakers in
a given round are allowed to speak
 The JAM master decision is final
Event 5: Tuning to Tagore (Slam Poetry)

 It is an individual participation.
 Combination of words and phrases will be given based on which the participants need
to write a poem and recite the same in not more than 5 minute
 Languages allowed are English, Tamil and Hindi
 Preparation time of 15 min will be given.
 Any kind of vulgarity is strictly prohibited
 The judge’s decision will be final
Event 6: Hot News (The Journalism Point)

 Overall of three rounds will take place:
 Creative writing
 Broadcast the reporter in you
 Challenge the Challenges
 For the second round, students are expected to prepare their report in advance on any
news of their choice.
 The third round is an impromptu round and hence no additional time will be given to
the participant
Event 7: Coffee with Milan

 It is an Individual event
 The host of the show will be questioning the individuals based on their characters of
famous personalities given.
 Any kind of vulgar or abusive words will lead to negative marking
 Based on the individual’s humour skills, with the ability of answering and satisfying
the host’s questions the winner will be selected
Event 8: App Cracker
Event Description:
In this competition each participant will be given the name of an application which is on the
judge’s phone. The application will be selected by them randomly by picking up of chits from
the bowl. They have to convince the judge to uninstall the application.

 It is an individual participation
 Time limit given to each participant will be 3mins
 Each participant will get a prep time of 1 min.
Event 9: Jumble the Good Word
Event Description:
A word game where your knowledge, memory, wit and team work skills are tested with you
having immense fun all along.

 This is a team event with three participants per team.
 The event will be conducted in two rounds, prelims and finals.
 The prelims will consist of 20 questions to be answered in 10 mins duration.
 The quiz (final round) will contain various word games like crossword, analogies,
scramble the word.
Event 10: Kalakkal Champions (Tamil Comedy Show)

 An individual event or team event of maximum 3 members
 Purely fun based show where the participants have to make the audiences and the
panellists laugh
 Any kind of using or portraying vulgarity is strictly prohibited
 The concept and the theme can be of the individual or the team’s choice.
Event 11: Turncoat

 The speaker starts by taking a stance on the topic and switches sides after a specific
duration of time.
 The topics will be given on the spot.
 The participant would be given 3 minutes to speak on the given topic.
 The first one and half minute they are supposed to speak according to their initial stand
and the second one and a half minute they are supposed to switch the opposite side
Event 12: Commentary
Event Description:
Participants are presented with prompts related to societal, political, sports, historic or popular
culture. Students may consult articles and evidence they gather prior to the contest and may
use the Internet during preparation. The speech is delivered from memory and no notes are
allowed.

 The time taken for the delivery of speech should not be more than 3 minutes.
RUBIKS
Event 1: Mosaic Jumble
Event Description:
A small mosaic is made using 3x3 cubes and is jumbled. The aim is to fix the mosaic by
arranging the cubes in the correct position.

 Time limit – 2 minutes
 Person who completes in the least time wins
 Solo event, limited to one try per person

Event 2: Team Effort
Event Description:
Two people solve one face of a scrambled 3x3 cube using one hand each.

 Each person must use only one hand while solving.
 Any face may be solved.
 The team which solves one face in the minimum time wins.
 Team event, limited to one try per person.
Event 3: Three Steps Away
Event Description:
A puzzle is scrambled using 3 steps, and the participant must bring it back in its solved state
in 3 moves.

 Each participant gets a unique scramble of 3 moves.
 The person who finds the 3 move solution in the least time wins.
 Solo event, limited to one try per person.
Event 4: Destroy the Cubes
Event Description:
Frustrated by the cube? Not able to solve it? You can destroy a stack of cubes!
Throw a ball to make every cube fall off the table.

 Solo event
 Each participant gets three throws of the ball.
 The aim is to knock the cubes off the table.
The sum of cubes knocked off in the three tries is the winning criteria. If this number is the
same for any two participants, secondary criteria is most cubes knocked off in a single try.
PHOTOGRAPHY
Event 1: Online Photography Competition

 Each participant should send only one photo.
 The photographs submitted must be the genuine, original work of the participant.
 Only DSLR or Mirrorless Camera can be used to capture the photo.
 The judges and the organizers reserve the right to cancel or vary the position awarded
in case of any discrepancies.
 Participants are to submit details of the device used and the editing app used, along
with the photograph.
 If edited, the original photographs must also be submitted with the edited ones.
 Participants should submit their name, registration no, contact no and which
department they belong to, and the college name along with the photographs.
 All photographs should be sent through the mail before 23:59:00, 08 th March, 2019.
Photograph Specifications:
 Images should be in JPEG Format only.
 The minimum resolution of the pictures must be 3 Mega Pixels.
 The total file size must be less than 15 MB.
 The EXIF data of the photograph must remain intact.
 Photographs must not have any borders, signatures, names, personal logos or
watermarks.
 Post processing of the pictures is allowed, but changes like modifications to
background will lead to disqualification.
 If processed, the original for the post-processed image should be submitted.

CREATIVE ARTS
Event 1: Portrait Making
Tag Line:
Capture the unique faces around you and make them jump off the sheet.
Event Description
The participants will have to sketch a portrait on the day of event based on the topic given.
Number of Rounds: Only one round will be held.

 All the participants will be provided with chart paper, pencil, and eraser.
 The participants can also bring their own materials if they wish to.
 Use of mobile phones and plagiarism are prohibited.

Event 2: T-Shirt Painting
Tag Line: Art is not just presented but can also be worn.
Event Description:
In this event participant must paint on a T-Shirt given to them. A theme will also be given on
the day of event. According to the theme given to them the painting must be done.
Number of Rounds: Two rounds will be held.

 All the participants will be provided with basic brushes & colors.
 Participants can get their own materials on their wish.
 Mobiles will not be allowed to use.
Event 3: Pot Painting
Tag line: Showcase your obsession to painting in the vintage style.
Event Description:
Paint them earthen pots; hone the artist in you, this Milan! There will be 2 rounds for this event.
In the first round the participants will have to paint their designs on chart paper. After the first

Event Description:
Mix, match, create and congregate the given waste material into a beautiful art on the given
theme, in this brand new event. The participants will be given a theme and they must do
according to the theme

 The participants cannot bring their own materials.
Event 5: Road Painting
Tag line: Use your skill to make a social/cultural statement.
Event Description:
Wake up Da Vinci and Picassos! Time to hold your paintbrushes tight and bring the creative
geniuses in you out with this one-of-a-kind event of two rounds. The participants should paint
their fantasies on chart papers provided according to the theme provided on the day of event.
The participants selected would pace forth to Round 2. Real time graffiti must be done on the
road based on the given theme.

 All the participants will be provided with basic colors, sponges and brushes.
 Use of mobile phones and plagiarism are prohibited
Event 6: Mandala Art
Tag line: No one can embellish better than the artist within you.
Event Description:
A Mandala is a spiritual and ritual symbol in many religions representing the universe. In
common use, "mandala" has become a generic term for any diagram, chart or geometric pattern
that represents the cosmos. Meta-physically or Symbolically. The basic form of most mandalas
is a square with four gates containing a circle with a center point. It is also a modern form of
meditation. Meditate with the artist within you.

 All the participants will be provided with basic requirements.
Event 7: Rapid Art Round
Event Description:
The rapid art round is different from the conventional painting competition. Each round tests
your creativity. And it consists of events such as face painting, hand painting, and collage
making.

 Participation in every task is compulsory.
 Maximum 2 participants
Event 8: Mixed Arts
Tag line: A true artist should know all types of Arts.
Event Description:
A theme will be given to the participants on the day of event. 3 participants per team . They
should be perfect in at least in five arts amongst shading, doodling , sketching, 3D painting,
pop art or traditional art.

 Maximum 3 participation.
Event 9: Hand Painting
Tag line: A human hand is a work of splendor. It can also create another marvelous work.
Event Description:
Damn those brushes. Put your biggest assets to use with Hand Painting and give your creation
a beautiful texture, with this brand new event. A theme will be given on the day of event
according to which the participants must paint on chart paper.

Event 10. Face Painting
Tag line: Make yourself look cool that reflects your personality as well as your taste in design.
Event Description:
A theme will be given to the participants on the day of event. Two participants per team will
be there where one will paint on the other relevant to the team.

 Only 2 participants per team (one should paint on the other).
Event 11. Collage Making
Tag line: It takes all sorts, to make it look aesthetic.
Event Description:
Mix, match, create and congregate them patches into a beautiful collage on the given theme, in
this brand new event. The participants will be given a theme and they must do a Collage
accordingly.

 All the participants will be provided with newspapers and magazines.
Event 12. Miniature Art
Tag line: Make the World even Smaller.
Event Description:
It is a genre that focuses on art (especially painting, engraving and sculpture) with a long
history that dates back to the scribes of the medieval ages. Miniature art societies. Make the
miniature according to the theme.

 All the participants will be provided with basic things.
 The decision of the event organisers is final.
AEROMODELLING
Event 1: Airshow
Event Description:
A platform where RC pilots from all over India will display there manoeuvring skills with
their aircrafts.
Event 2: Race to Future
The event will be conducted in 4 rounds
Round 1: Puzzle Round

 Aircraft Puzzles will be provided which are to be solved.
 Participants with minimum time taken will go to second round
Round 2: Treasure Hunt

 It will start from class room.
 A problem will be given to the participants, the solution of the problem statement will
be the clue for a location, and participant needs to go on that location.
 The other problem statement would be there. The answer of this problem will lead to
another location.
 Finally the people with minimum time taken to reach the final destination will go to
next round.
Round 3: Identify the Aircraft

 Photos of some aircraft will be shown on the screen.
 Points will be given to participants for identifying the aircraft.
 The participants with maximum points in this round will go to final round.
Round 4: Futuristic Problem Solving

 A futuristic problem will be presented to the participants.
 Participants will be given an hour to find the best solution.
 The solution will be judged by the faculty of Engineering & Technology SRM IST.
 The best solutions will be the winner of the event.

Event 3: Air Crash Investigation
Event Description:
The clues of the air crash will be video clips from various movies depicting aircraft crash. At
each stage, the participant has to investigate the root of the crash and on finding the right
reason of crash, they will be given an aircraft part.
At each step of solving the clue, a participant will have a part, which at the end should be
assembled as an aircraft.

 Overall time for completing the event: 15 min.
 Time limit for deciphering the code after getting all clues: 2 min
 3 attempts(Inclusive of overall event time)
 Max. participants in zone: 8
 Max. Participants in a team: 2
 Disqualify: Disturbing team.
Event 4: Sketch an Aircraft
Event Description:
This event is an online event in which the participants are expected to sketch and upload an
aircraft given based on the theme.

Round 1
 Competition is – “Make/ Design What You want”
 Candidates have to make their design, click photos/ scan their designs and send it in
on the official Email ID.
 Best designs shall be chosen and participants shall be sent a confirmation for
qualifying to Round 2 through the official Email ID and they would be called
personally to confirm their participation.
Round 2
 Give the candidates a rough design/sketch of body and tell the candidates to complete
the sketch and make their design.
 Only shortlisted participants will get entry in Round 2, rough design will be mailed to
them.
 Rough sketch/design has to be convenient for all the candidates (e.g.: if someone
wants to design a fighter plane and if someone else wants to design a rotor copter or a
commercial airliner
Event 5: Parachute Challenge
Event Description:
The participants in this event will be given an amount of payload, which they have to deliver
to the required area by making a parachute. Material for making parachute will be provided.

 The participants needs to make a parachute
 The payload should land on the area marked with maximum points.
 Points will be rewarded accordingly.
Event 6: Gliding Competition
Event Description:
Participants make a non-powered glider. The event deals with maximum airtime and
maximum distance travelled by the gliders.

 Team of maximum 3 people
 Build your throw glider using foam/choro-sheets
 Maximum 3.5 feet wing spam
 Judging on endurance and high range
STRENGTH MANIA
Event 1: Boxing
Number of Rounds: Three rounds of three minutes, 1 minute rest between each rounds.
Weight Categories: 46 – 49 kg, 52 kg, 56kg, 60kg, 64kg, 69kg, 75kg, 81kg, 91kg, 91+kg.

 Boxers who registered their academic in any Indian University or colleges are eligible
to participate in the competition.
 In General weigh-in and medical examination of all boxers will be held at SRM
BOYS GYM from 10 AM to 12 AM on 6th March 2019 and on subsequent days for
those boxers who are drawn to Box.
 The team/officials, shall not arrive at the venue earlier than 5th March and shall leave
by 8th March 2019.
 Accommodation will be provided for all the participants with a minimum of cost.
 The Championship will be conducted as per AIBA rules. All boxer possess their Gum
shield, Cup protector, Red & Blue vest & shorts according to their coroner
allocation.
 No body piercing and body accessories are allowed to worn during the bout.
 Person(s) accompanying the team as coach and Manager will not be permitted to
officiate in the championship.
 All boxers, officials must have the original and photocopy of their Identity proof of
academic college admission and one of the government ID proof.
 One team should have max 11 persons including manager or coach, not more than
that.

Event 2: Obstacle Race

 There will be obstacle present in the race course.
 The one who finishes first in the minimum time will be the winner.
Event 3: Power Lifting

 There will be two weight category (less than 70kg, more than 70kg).
 Participants should be present for weight-in at 11 am in SRM Boys gym.
 There will be three activities
1) Squats
2) Bench Press
3) Deadlift
 Judges decision will be the final decision.
 If the participant creates any type of disrespectful act, he will be disqualified.
Event 4: Body-Building

 Participants should come in shorts.
 There will be two weight categories (<70 & >70).
 Everyone is allowed to participate.
 Participants are required to bring their own tan oil (if they want).
 Participants will have to do the following pose:
1) Front pose.
2) Back pose (with lats spread).
3) Individual routine (one best pose of the contestant).
4) Front double biceps.
5) Back double biceps
 Judges decision will be the final decision.
 Participants should be present one hour prior to the starting of the competition.
Event 5: Calisthenics

 Participants have to show their special skills regarding fitness.
 The performance should be attractive
 The Judges’ decision will be final
 Participants should be present at the venue 30 minutes before the event.

General Rules:
 Complete knockout format
 7 v/s 7 on field.
 Dress code should be followed.
 Yellow Card will be carried on to next match. Yellow cards in 2 consecutive games
leads to a MATCH BAN.
 Direct red card is a MATCH BAN.
 Full Time – 40 minutes. 20 minutes half and 10 minutes break.

GAMING
Event 1: Rainbow Six Siege
General Rules:
This will have 2 categories of Amateur and Professional. This will be a standard 5 v/s 5
tournament with one substitute (will have to register separately) allowed per team. Based on
the number of teams registered in both the categories, we will either follow one of the
following tournament conduction rules:
 Loser’s Bracket: Each team plays each team once or twice and then the top four teams
proceed ahead with the team directly in finals and the second team plays the winner of
the third v/s fourth team to play against the first team in the finals. This will be
followed for a team count less than 6
 Eliminations followed by Loser’s Bracket: After each match the loser gets eliminated
until 6 teams are left, post which Loser’s Bracket will be followed.

Event 2: Counter Strike: Global Offensive
Team Size: 5+1 Participants
General Rules:
This will follow standard competitive rules followed by official CS GO server, and maps will
be decided on the spot based on the regulations followed by official tournaments. The finals
will be a best of 3 maps (best of 30 rounds each).
Event 3: DOTA 2
Team Size: 5+1 Participants
General Rules:
This will follow the standard game modes as selected by the team captain who wins the toss.
The finals will be a best of 3 rounds.
Event 4: FIFA’19
General Rules:
 This will be an individual event with 2 people playing at a time
 Difficulty – Legendary
 Half length – 4 minutes
 Tournament Type – Knockout
 The players will have their own choice for type of play and what technique they want
to use viz. classic, two key, alternate, etc.
Event 5: Clash Royale
General Rules:
This will follow simple tournament rules as available with Clash Royale. The tournament will
be created under the game norms and the players will have 2 hours for warm up and then 1
hour of gameplay, at the end of which the top 2 will emerge victorious as winner and runner
up.
Event 6: BLUR
General Rules:
This will be an individual event with 4 people playing against each other at a time. The
winner of each race will move forward to the next round and so on. The finals will have 4
people playing against each other and the winner of the race will win the tournament.

 Tournament Type – Knockout
Event 7: PUBG Mobile
Team Size: 4 Participants
General Rules:
 This will be a squad mode game in a room with 100 players.
 Based on the number of participants, there will be multiple games in same or different
maps.
