Belly dance, or properly called Oriental Dance, it is the scenic evolution of various traditional Middle

Eastern dances, along with others from North Africa and Greece, whose diversity of elements such
as music, rhythms, style and costumes depends on the country or region.

In many countries, belly dancing is the most popular form of exercise for women, empowering them,
increasing self-confidence and highlighting their self-image, along with giving them physical
benefits.

This practice has almost died in the Middle East, due to the advent of Western medicine. However,
it is now being very popular in the United States obstetrics centers. Women who have danced in
their births find that it is much more useful than hiking or massages.

Belly dancing was not invented to provoke or arouse libido in men. Traditionally, women danced in
childbirth and their friends danced with it.

The movement of the hips, the creation of different figures with the hands, and the whole body in
motion, form a true art in the world of the corporal skills, becoming a tradition of the Middle East
for the whole world.
