‘To study the nomenclature, classification and characters of fungi

Introduction, definition of different terms, basic concepts.

Importance of mycology in agriculture, relation of fungi to human affairs,
history of mycology.

Concepts of nomenclature and classification, fungal biodiversity,
reproduction in fungi.
