The arrival of man to the moon was one of the most important events of the

20th century.
It took place on July 20, in 1969, almost 50 years ago. The success of that
Apollo 11 mission enabled two of its astronauts, Neil A. Armstrong and Edwin E.
Aldrin Jr., to step the surface of the moon. That was when Asmstrong said his
famous quote: "It is a small step for a man, one giant leap for mankind".
Then, both astronauts explored the area during two hours. They picked a lots of
soil and rocks and they installed scientific instruments as well.
That historical moment was watched on TV by six hundred million of people
across the planet and it was the most important political, media and social event
lost of months later.
The mission finished four days later, when Apollo 11 landed perfectly in the
waters of the Pacific Ocean.
