Principal, guests, teachers, parents and fellow students good morning.

I am
Andrea Jeovanna from Secondary 3 Turner and I am beyond excited to introduce
our Environmental project of the year, Green Country group. I am the secretary of
Green Country and we would like full attention of yours for a meantime.
Deforestation, global warming, polluted air, the concentration of oxygen
decreasing is a serious matter to all of us. Trees are nature’s wonders and a great
gift to all of us it is very important to our existence. I believe that together we can
help decrease these problems and make the world a better place.
Firstly, I strongly believe that green is good, anything green represents the nature
and therefore nature is good. Planting plants help conserve the environment,
reduces global warming and it produces O2 which is beneficial for us all. Without
O2, we will suffocate and eventually die as we cannot live a moment without it.
Anyone who wants to volunteer themselves to help our group is welcomed and
obliged.
Our activity will include planting different kind of trees, picking up rubbishes in
the open garden and we will plant a tree that symbolizes peace and respect for
nature and animals. There will also be a petting garden where you get to pet
rabbits, cats and dogs.
Secondly, it reminds us of nature and the importance of environmental
protection. Trees, not only they provide oxygen for us they also act as a producer
in a food chain. They are important plants that have improved life essential
necessities. They support us with things that we need like wood and food. Trees
also decreases the air temperature and it provides shade for people and houses
and their roots helps prevents erosion during floods.
Trees helps us relax, relief stress and reduce blood pressure. I’m sure that by
doing this we can gain public awareness slowly and people may be planting trees
and by planting one tree means a lot to the environment. Planting trees here, on
the sides of the road or even anywhere will also make an astonishing view for all
of us. Let’s mark these trees we’re planting now as our peace trees and watch
them grow to a better future.
I thank everyone here for their participation, we are beyond grateful to see you
all here and together we will all make the world a better place! We apologized for
any misunderstanding.
