Due to recent allegations and concern for the wellbeing of our community, all social activities of the Fraternity and Sorority Life community are suspended. During the suspension, fraternity and sorority chapters are unable to host or participate in social events and functions including, but not limited to, brotherhood and sisterhood events, philanthropic events, new member showcases, and social mixers. Failure to comply will result in enhanced adjudication and sanctions. Chapter business meetings and initiation activities that are in accordance with University and national headquarter policies may continue. A staff member from the Fraternity and Sorority Life Office or Student Affairs must be present for any new member initiation or ritual event. University sponsored activities are permitted (i.e. The Big Event) or if the chapter is participating in a service project for chapter members only. All chapters need to indicate whether they have any initiation activity planned for spring 2019.
