SAP Solution Manager 7.2 is based on SAP Netweaver 7.4, which supports no dual-stack systems.
As a consequence, your existing SAP Solution Manager system has to be split!

• Guided Procedures
• Within SAP Solution Manager Launchpad Guided Procedures is now available with new tiles:
• Guided Procedure Catalog tile shows the number of active GP’s to be accessed by GP browser
• Guided Procedure Usage tile shows number of executed GP instances to access GP Execution Logs
• From SAP Help Guided Procedures tile, you can open application help (overview of GP authoring)
• From Guided Procedure Authoring – How-To-Guide tile, you can open the how-to-guide GP authoring
• Within Guided Procedures Catalog and Guided Procedure Usage you can select systems and hosts
via Scope Selector:
• In the editors of both GP applications, you can preview the current GP version by selecting a system
• You can also filter and select an ABAP client
• Create New Activity view has been enhanced (add and remove links, improved handling of text)
• UI5 Document Editor has been enhanced to support accessibility (text to speech, keyboard navigation)
• The GP browser has been enhanced as follows:
• The free-text search has been extended above all existing columns
• In the Last Executed column, you can see the last execution date of a GP instance
• You can create steps and sub steps by referencing existing ones within the same application area

• Guided Procedures
• You can log on to and log off from guided procedures, for example to log on with another user
• In a log comment, you can now enter a formatted text. You can also upload an image, for example a
screenshot. You can then access this image choosing the link in the Display area of the Log screen area
• You can enable the user to navigate to the next step, even if in the previous step all mandatory
activities haven't been executed successfully
• Additional chart types are supported, for example heat map charts, bubble charts, and waterfall
charts. You can now attach more than one charts to any kind of guided procedure activity.
• With admin role, you can lock a specific guided procedure execution instance in the Complete step.
You can also overwrite the execution status, if needed. By locking you prevent a specific instance to be
executed and the execution data cannot be changed (guided procedure report remains unchanged)
• If such an instance contains IT tasks, these will be automatically set to completed
• You can unlock a locked guided procedure execution instance in the log book
