Management styles:

Management style is a set of principles which extend the control of workforce and the diversity
of operational functionality to bring together steadfast organizational goals (Morris and Pavett,
1992).

Description and analysis of Western management

Research and development has become more complex yet important over the following few
years. Various information systems are used to exceed the boundaries of specialization.
Therefore the innovation in the culture is turning ot have a surplus effect on the human capital
motivation (MARQUÉS, SIMÓN and CARAÑANA, 2006)

From the cultural perspective, the managerial trend in the west increases development and has
revolved very quickly. Fortunately the roots are very stagnant and the western culture welcomes
it straight away. The western management has been accused of making the handling the
problems by themselves and not encouraging the unifying of the group so much. As the history
of western culture and management is concerned there is a sense of decentralization. The
separations of power can be a divider. These carry immense impact on the west cultural
management thinking which mold and bend the role in managing decentralized management.

Western management:

The recent transformation in the western managers and their management styles have shifted
towards the generalization rather than specialization. Western management struggles to enhance
the interactive communication (Lawler and Rhode, 1976). The higher rate of competition with
on contrary performance is a dare to be impressive.

Description and analysis of Asian management

The Asian style of management is subordinately deal oriented having rigidity prominent with
high level of centralization decisions (Clarke, 1998).

Analysis

Asian management style is traditionally rooting various major countries of Asia. Organizational
having their roots in-depth in it, find it difficult to change their management style. Less they
know, marketing strategies and outcomes in result are dominantly affected. Amongst different
styles of Asian management one of it is ‘paternalistic style’ of management which emphasizes on
keeping the keeping the people first. The centralization elevation from top to down management
has an authoritative base which makes sense of participative suppressed.

As globalization is an important factor in any market place. Culture needs to be intact with it
thoroughly.
India:

India is an Asian country known for its impactful management style. Clearly the boss and the
employee relation is traditionally common since years. Management styles in India require
certain attention from the boss and in return deferential behavior from the employees. Businesses
across India demand from suitable micro management for collectivity of innovation and
newness.

China

The Chinese style of management is known to adopt the Confucian philosophy. Their managerial
style appreciates the differences in the equalities are respected.

The Chinese management style tends to follow Confucian philosophy: Relationships are deemed
to be unequal, and ethical behavior demands that these inequalities are respected: The older
person should automatically receive respect from the younger, the senior from the junior. This is
the cornerstone of Chinese management thinking and issues such as empowerment and open
access to total information are viewed by the Chinese as, at best, bizarre Western notions.
Management is directive, with the senior manager giving instructions to their immediate staff,
who in turn pass on the instructions down the line. Subordinates do not question the decisions of
superiors as that would be to show disrespect.

Concluding remarks on both the management styles:

We conclude that different organizations have led towards a positive change by indulging and
giving rise to the western management style whereas comparatively the Asian management style
mainly promotes traditionally which limits the organizational success factor. The in-depth
analysis shows that innovation and creative organization culture is facilitated by the western
management style. According to the research the Asian management style is comparatively more
authoritative and western style can be characterized as participative.

Recommendations to improve the management styles in accordance to international

business.

Planning is an important factor which creates and yet influences the managers towards
betterment of decision making. What managers can really do is;

1. Encourage the employees of the organization be more directive.

2. Avoid repetitive work.
3. Planning should be in such a sense that the entire organizational hierarchy should be
ready for uncertainty with high level of contingency planning.
