First Conditional.

(real situation)

If Present Simple, will / won´t …..infinitive verb.

If I go to the disco , I won´t study for my exams.

She won´t pass her exams , if she doesn´t study more.

Second Conditional. (unreal- Hypothetical Situation)

If Past Simple, would /wouldn´t …infinitive verb..

If I had a car, I would take you to work.

I would buy that cake, if I had money.

She would improve her English, If she studied more.

Third Conditional. Unreal Past.

If Past Perfect , would/could/might + have + past


participle.

If I had known your address , I would have visited you.

If Sara had woken up earlier , she couldn´t have caught the


train on time.

He wouldn´t have got a better job, if he had studied more.
