I have always been interested in bizarre and exotic

things, such as places and traditions. In this opportunity, I am

going to talk about strange food items.
Frog Legs – France, Southeast Asia and other
Dip them in milk, then in flour, and stir-fry them slowly in
butter in a frying pan over medium heat until golden brown all
over. Remove to hot serving dish, salt and pepper lightly, and
sprinkle with lemon juice and finally chopped parsley. Over all,
pour the browned butter in the frying pan.
Ying-Yang Fish – Taiwan and China
To make "yin yang fish" (Yin Yang Yu) one first takes a
live, whole fish and then wraps its head in a wet towel. By
doing this, one keeps the head from cooking. Next, one takes
the fish and inserts it into very hot, deep frying oil, cooking the
body and tail but leave the head uncooked, and the fish,
technically, is still alive. The fish is then placed on a plate,
ready to be eaten.
Tuna Eyeballs – Japan
In Japanese stores you will find strange packages
"observing" you with their big fish eyes. And in many bars, you
can taste the tuna eyes already cooked, fried, stewed or
steamed.
Wasp Crackers – Japan
Elderly wasp hunters lay traps around the nearby
countryside to catch the wasps. They are then boiled in water,
dried and then added to the rice cracker mix. The mix is then
stamped in a hot iron cracker cutter.
Century Egg / 100 Year Old Egg / 1000 Year Old Egg – China
Century Eggs are a legendary Chinese food that, after a
special processing method, become jelly-like and often
patterned. They also have a special aroma. For most Chinese
people, Century Eggs are deliciously tasty. Duck eggs are
usually used, as they taste fresher and are slightly saltier.
Also the flavor and color are also unique. Century Eggs are
not only loved at home in China, but also have a good
reputation in the international market.
