Review for Hearing Mid-term exam on Wednesday March 6

1) Review your notes and findings for the music we studied so far: Beethoven, Schumann, Victoria

2) Review your piano proficiency progressions. You will find all four pages of progressions in Canvas/
Files/ Piano progressions folder.

3) Complete all of the Music Prodigy Quizzes: All previously assigned quizzes plus the Long form
Harmonic 1- 4. This means you should be able to 100% pass every quiz in the Music Prodigy app.

4) Review the Gestalt system we used in class – the pages are also available on Canvas – and the
groupings and gestalts which you can recognize and then write down.

5) Sing progressions using arpeggios. Sing falling tetrachords. Sing the baroque gestalt patterns.

6) Review the pages and excerpts for Augmented 6 and Neapolitan 6 chords (all pages are available in
Canvas)
