• Single application created for images and XML data files
• Note - With the 11.1.1.3 release the XML documents are stored as a
‘supporting’ document to the image
• The images and XML file and their metadata are ingested into the
appropriate application by the Input Agent
• Searches – to enable easy access to the invoice images
• BPEL
• The image application will initiate a BPEL process to perform the invoice
processing - key invoice fields are passed along to the BPEL process
• Viewing
• Users that access images are presented with the I/PM browser based
viewer which allows annotations
