ABSTRACT

Banten province is one of the provinces that has the potential of mining

resources is large enough. One of the potential mining resources is quite large in

the form of andesite stone material that is categorized into the class C. Areas that

have large mining potential is located in the area of Mount Santri and surrounding

areas, District Bojonegara, Serang regency, Banten Province. To find out how the

quality and quantity is then conducted research by using three methods, namely

literature study method to find out about the geology of research areas, field

methods to map the geological state of the area and take samples, laboratory

methods to analyze samples taken. The results obtained are the research area there

are rock units consisting of: units of breccia tuffaan (QPVG), units of andesite

lava (QPVG), and units of tuff (QPVB). The andesite potential is found in QPVG

which is divided into three types of rock quality: exceptionally strong

8.564.452,28 m3, very strong 8.146.158,86 m3, and strong 8.610.025,92 m3
