NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 20th June, 1988
(Rubber Control)
G.S.R. 716(E).-—In exorcise of the powers
conferred by section 25 of the Rubber Act, 1947
<24 of 1947), the Central Government hereby
makes the following rules further to amend the
Rubber Rules, 1955, namely :— -
1 . ( 1 ) These Rules may be called the Rubber
(Amendment) Rules, 1988.
(2) They shall come into force on the date
of their publication in the Official
Gazette.
2. Jn rule 19 of he Rubber Rule-,, 1955 (herein
after referred to as the said rules), -
(i) in the first proviso, for the letters.
figures and Words, "Rs. 1300|- per men-
sem", the letters, figures and words.
''Rs. 4000|- per mensem in the case of
technical posts' and RS. 4,500 per mensem
iri the case of non-technical post "subject
to observance of the ban orders for creation
of posts issued by the Govt, from time to
time" shall be substituted; *
(ii) in the second proviso, for the Ictieis.

3. In rule 30 of the said rules, in sub-rule (1).
for the letters, figures and words "Rs. 10001- in
any single case", the letters, figures and words
ftWt, "Rs. 10,000 for loses due to theft, fraud and neg-
ligence and Rs. 20,000 for other eases in any single
ease" shall be substituted.
4. Li rule 32 of the said rules, in sub-rule (I ).
for the words, letters and figures "extends over a
period of more than fhree yeari or involves ex-
penditure in excess of Rs. 20,000", the words and
figures "involves and expenditure in excess of 20
lakh rupees" shall be substituted.
5. Tn rule-47 of the said rules, the words "under-
take, or encourage, or cause to be undertaken or
encouraged, economic research and also" shall be
omitted.

Note :—The principal rule-i were published
vide No. SRO 1662 in the Gazette of
India Extraordinary Part II dated the
1st August, 1985 and were subsequently
amended by :—
1. Notification No. SRO 549 dated the 14th
February, 1957 (Published in the Gjzetle
of India, Part 11, Section 3 dated the
23rd February, 1957).
2. Notification No. G.S.R. 27, dated the 27th
r>ecember, 1968 (published in the Gazette
of India, Part II, Section 3, sub-section (i)
dated the 27th December, 1968).
3. Notification No. G.S.R. 241 dated the 31st
January, 1976 (published in Gazette of
India dated 21st February, 1976).
